We the People: The Citizen and Constitution Program promotes civic responsibility among the country’s upper elementary and secondary students, and provides lessons about the principles of the US constitutional democratic republic. It is supported nationwide by educational, professional, business, community, and legal organizations. Reno High School’s team took first place, and Incline High School’s team took second place in the district competition on December 16. Both teams will now compete in the state competition on February 3 at UNR. Winners of the state competition will advance to the national finals in Washington, DC.
Last spring, Incline High School competed in the national finals and won the national Unit Six Award, continuing a long-standing tradition of excellence in this important work.
