Dozens of community members and WCSD staff members gathered at a site in Sun Valley where the District will build a new middle school. The open house offered an opportunity for everyone to learn more about the school which is scheduled to open in August 2019.
The school can hold up to 1,400 students and will become the first middle school in the Sun Valley area. Currently, middle-schoolers from Sun Valley attend schools in Sparks.
Superintendent Traci Davis, Trustee Dr. Debra Feemster, and Trustee Malena Raymond posed at the site where equipment operators are already moving ground in preparation for the first steps toward building the school.
