WCSD Features Student Artwork for Annual Holiday Card Competition

For the seventh year, WCSD invited students throughout the District to submit artwork for the Annual Holiday Card Design Competition. Elementary, middle, and high school students provided more than 300 entries for the contest this year. Student artists submitted beautiful holiday artwork, making the process of voting for a winner extremely difficult. Ten finalists were provided to the WCSD Trustees who chose the overall winner. The designs of all the finalists are shown below. Congratulations to our winner, Erika Garcia, 7th grade student at Billinghurst Middle School. Thanks to Billinghurst Art Teacher Leslie Dandois, and Principal Mark Hutchinson for promoting art in our schools and for helping to honor Erika at the December Spotlight on Success event.

Our sincere thanks to all of the students and teachers who participated in the contest. We love that this competition provides us the opportunity to see student artwork, we and look forward to this card being shared and filled with well wishes for the season.
