For the second year, the Celebration Dancers from Rita Cannan Elementary School have been invited to perform with the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra during the family concert to celebrate Dia de los Muertos. It is a great honor to be invited back to perform again, and our students are very excited to participate. Please come to the concert to support our talented students!

The concert takes place on Saturday, November 4 at 10 a.m. at the Pioneer Memorial Auditorium in downtown Reno and is free to the public.

The concert begins at 10:00 am and features an exciting line-up of music to celebrate and honor El Dia de los Muertos.

Join us early at 9:00 am at the Pioneer Center for hands-on activities exploring the science of music as well as an instrument petting zoo! Pre-concert festivities are generously provided by Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum, Nevada Museum of Art, and Blue Note B’s Horn Shop.

ANY TICKETS NOT PICKED UP BY 9:55 AM ON THE MORNING OF THE CONCERT WILL BE RELEASED AT THAT TIME TO OTHER PATRONS WAITING TO GET A TICKET.

The performance is at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts at 100 S. Virginia Street in downtown Reno.

Attendees must select and reserve their seats for the concert by clicking on the date in the upper left corner of this page.

Each person attending the concert MUST have a ticket to gain entrance to the auditorium, including infants of any age.

All tickets will be held in Will Call. If you wish to pick them up before the concert day, please visit the Reno Phil office at 925 Riverside Drive, Ste 3 in Reno (located inside the McKinley Arts and Culture Center). Will Call at the Pioneer Center will open at 8:00 am on the morning of the concert.

If you reserve tickets and know you will not be able to attend, please contact the Reno Phil Box Office as soon as possible so we can open up those seats to other patrons.
