Kiwanis Club Raises Money for Child Safety Programs

Kiwanis Club logoThe Kiwanis Club of Downtown Sparks is raising money for safety programs for Pediatric Trauma Prevention (PTP). The group provides child safety and health programs to over 2,500 youth in the community. Programs include teaching bicycling (riding, repair and helmet safety) through camps, clubs and clinics, and providing dolls for local hospitals.

The public is invited to “Pairings for PTP,” where they can sample appetizers that are paired perfectly with beverages from Nevada’s best wineries, distilleries, and brew houses. Join the community for a fun night of tasting, a silent auction with a great variety of items, and entertainment. Appetizers are provided by TMCC and Job Corps culinary programs.

The proceeds will fund enhancements of child safety programs through improved programming at their bike shop and at community events.
